Flight Facilities, a duo from Australia, is quickly climbing to the top of the scene. With monster singles such as their recent track "Clair de Lune" featuring Christine Hoberg, it is no wonder that the name Flight Facilities has been popping up everywhere. Recently, the indie electro act has been buzzing all over again with an edited version of Soulwax's edit of Walter Murphy's iconic "A Fifth Of Beethoven".
Here is what Flight Facilities added about the track, “Our edit of Walter Murphy’s "A Fifth Of Beethoven" made for the upcoming "Flight Facilities for Triple J Mix Up Exclusives: 1972-1982 by flightfacilities". We were going to use Soulwax’s edit in the mix but it was too heavy so we had to make our own version that was easy to mix. We figured we would share it with everyone. There’s an easy intro and outro especially for the DJ.”

Wow, how original, an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of an edit of a cover of an edit of an edit of a version of an edit!
ReplyDeleteWho says creativity is dead in music? Slap some kick drums underneath ANY piece of music in Ableton and hey presto - you have yourself an EDIT!
Edit this!
Just by the way, Moodymann actually made something special out of a Walter Murphey song because he has some talent.
